Junellen Eastman, EMT-P

June, has been a paramedic since 1984, is a paramedic with the Chicago Fire Department. As an active paramedic, CPR is apart of her daily job and she performs this life saving skill most shift days.

June has been teaching the American Heart Association method of CPR for over 20 years. June is not only an instructor but also an instructor trainer. In 2000 when the AED was implemented across the United States, June has been responsible for training over 4000 serving fire fighters and new recruits in the American Heart Association method of CPR and AED, at the Chicago Fire Academy.  In addition she has been responsible for running training classes in CPR with AED all over the country for a number of national organisations.

June has also been an emergency medical technician instructor as well as a first aid instructor. June particularly likes to use her extensive practical paramedic experience to make the training she gives relevant to real life situations.

June is the founder of Chicago's Pulse and set the company up in 1995 because her field experience showed her that too many people are not trained in CPR. Too many calls she attends result in death when the outcome could have been different had lifesaving techniques been applied prior to the paramedic's arrival. She has therefore made it her company mission to train as many people as possible in this life saving skill.

June lives in Chicago Illinois with her husband Patrick and their three children, Jennifer, Emily and Aiden.
